Different eras may seem like a cool idea but there are a few drawback.

Firstly the smell. On all those historical dramas you do not have smellovision of the result of lack of proper plumbing and sanitation. People did not bathe too well or have clean shiny teeth.

You are probably living in the best possible time now for an avarage person.

Either the 1970s or the 60s or something, because everything seemed so new and interesting then (though that's probably just because people talk about it in a nostalgic way) and plus they had way the best music.
Or in the future (if that counts) when you can travel to see other planets and stuff or at least the moon - you can go into space on holiday now if you have enough money, can't you? So one day you will probably be able to go to the moon or mars for a weekend or something.
Or I would have lived in Ancient Briton (is that right?) because of all the druids and they all believed in magic which seems like a nice idea.
I hope you don't think I'm odd. Oh well.

I would live in any historical era in any country as long as I was filthy and disgustingly WEALTHY.

i agree with Alarafan,i do prefer to live in the era i live in not,i think it`s safer despite all the developments and situation in the world,but believe me there were enough dangers earlier.I think modern technologies are great achivements,it`s possible to predcit and cure different disasters,diseases etc...
