"SIKHS WILL NEVER FORGET 1984"
how could some of you say that move on,forget about it? thats so selfish
thousand of sikhs were burned alive to justify blood thirsty leader like (Jagdish Tytler)
if your family member was killed by these mobs would you forget about it?

Well, it's pretty much too late to do anything now isn't it? I was very much a part of the whole thing as a young girl then, watching everything with innocent horror!! I saw with my own eyes our Sikh house owner chop of his his hair and beard so that he and his family could live, I still vividly remember those days of curfews, the nights of "watching the neighbourhood to safe guard our sikh neighbours", military posts everywhere. Climbing the terrace with friends and seeing Delhi burning all around. All I wanted then was sanity and normalcy to return. Anyway, What kind of justice can one ask for after so many years? The crimes committed then were too big for our human courts to resolve. Those who erred then will surely be punished in the highest court someday. Forgive evryone for everything that happened and move on....... One cannot do anything else either.

No, I did not say forget. Forgetting would not be easy. But forgiving is divine in nature. Every blast that occurs, every arson ,every tragedy always ends up taking away innocent lives. It is extremely tragic for those who live on, but I know one thing, I would never wish that on anyone family. I would never say"you will understand only if someone of your family was killed in the same manner". Everyone who has a heart will feel your pain, no matter who it is.No my friend, pray for peace for everyone. No one in the world deserves to die that way.

Who exactly are you expecting to bring these people to justice? It seems as if these riots were conducted by government officials and openly ignored or supported by police.

So, who's going to start this process? The police? Not likely, they'd have to admit to all manner of impropiety at the time. The Government? Not likely, many officials will not want to risk incriminating themselves.

I'm afraid this one will just have to go unanswered. It's not right, but that's the way it is. Any actions after a change in government, or retalitory actions by the Sikh community would likely be just as random and just create new hatred.

You are abosultely right. And yet the dirty left wing goverment has the audacity to redress the Gujarat riots, but the innocent sikhs who were murdered after the assasination of Indira gandi and the innocent hindus (brahmins) who were murdered after the assasination of Mahatma Gandhi have been all but forgotten.
