ok, here is the deal. my husband and i would like to have a baby. but my husband has had a Vas. and we don't want to have that reversed. is the only was for us to have a baby IVF?
And if we go with that will we have to use a sperm donor?

Look up artificial insemination on WebMD. Yes, you would need a sperm donor - unless they could extract sperm from your husbands testes.

EDIT even with a vas your husbands testes produce sperm. Its that the route is severed.

it may be possible to extract sperm for the testes, but chances are slim. You may be better off trying an IUI with donor sperm. You only need to dom IVF if there is a problem with your fertility, which your question does not indicate. Consult with a fertility specialist or a urologist to see what his options are.

You can't extract sperm from your hubby with him having a vasectomy. In order for you to have a child with your hubby he would have to have the vasectomy reversed. A reversal will run you about $5,000.00 and there is no guarantee that it will work! Good luck!
