Get a bed from Rent a Center. They're not the cheapest, and definately not the best financial decision, but they're the best bet for you right now. You can pay for it a little bit at a time; it's like layaway but you have the items already. Don't furnish your entire place this way, though.
Go to Walmart and buy one place setting of dinnerware, preferably plastic. Buy a large skillet pan and a medium saucepan; these two will serve most of your cooking needs. If you want to splurge, buy a slow cooker.
Also buy a comforter, a pillow, one set of sheets, two body towels, and a dishcloth (since you'll only have one place setting). All of this can be put on layaway, I think, so you can pay it off in time to move into your new place.
Forget about everything else but the necessities. You can sit on the floor to eat dinner (in fact, that's quite fashionable in some places). You don't need to watch TV. Stock up your place slowly as you go. And always go to garage sales!

... i wish you much luck... as the lady above said.. contact a church. they might have someone who needs to get rid of excess furniture. you might also contact a furniture mover and see if they have someone who is trying to get rid of things .... the newspaper often has ads for "free" things, as well as a website called craigslist.com.
I remember many, many years ago when I first started out, I received donations of furniture from people at work who were trying to get rid of things... If you tell people your situation, you might get help. I didn't have much either for several months. I used wooden pallets with a sleeping bag on top, and crates as tables, etc... But gradually, as people found out, I needed things, they started donating their cast offs... It does help. I also went frequently to the Salvation Army and thrift shops for pots and pans and dinnerwear, things like that... They also have furniture, and may be even willing to donate if you ask.
The best of luck to you. It will be slow, but hopefully, it will all cometogether for you. It doesn't have to all come at once.... it really made me appreciate the things i did receive and to be thankful for everything i now have ....

When I first moved I slept on a stack of blankets on the floor for a month. You can go to consignment (thrift) stores. They have cheap furnishings. Ask some of your friends if they have anything extra they can loan to you. Then just take baby steps getting everything you need. Start with what you have to have first.

Do you have any friends or family that can help you with this? If not, you can try going to salvation army, or a local church to see if there is any way for them to help you. The church may not be able to help you a lot, but they could possibly at least point you to someone who CAN help. Above all this, pray! God is with us in our hardest times, and He provides when we trust Him! :) Good luck and God Bless!
