who has seen the Lion King and Wicked at the theatre and which should I take a lady to see??

I have and you should take her to see Wicked. It is funny, sad, and everything in between. Between both I enjoyed the costumes more at Lion King but I enjoyed the performance more for Wicked. Even weeks later I was still humming the songs from Wicked and making jokes with my husband from parts of it. The Lion King had some good stuff too but none of it really stuck. So I would say take her to see Wicked.

both shows are really good. (must warn you i've only seen them by the internet not in person) With the Lion King of course there's more of a male lead that being Simba and Scar and Mufasa but with Wicked there's two strong women who grow and a really good looking guy on the side. if i were you i'd go see Wicked first not only because of it having two strong female leads but because it's just a geniuine good show that would be great for a date and then go see the Lion King later.

Having never seen Lion King, I'd say Wicked. I saw it with my mother last fall and was blown away. It's a great musical.

I was not all that impressed with Lion King, but I loved Wicked. I really thought Lion King was overrated. Take her to see Wicked, I think she'll love it :-)

Plus, Lion King attracts more families with small children.... your call.

i saw the lion king and absolutely loved it - the costumes, the performance, music, etc was all very well done

now i am taking my daughter to see Wicked for her 13th birthday and i am going b/c everyone that i have talked to that have seen it say it is very well done

you could probably take a lady to see either, i would go by which venue has the best seats
