To burn a DVD you need a blank DVD.
DVDr are the cheaper type, but they are once only. DRDrw are rewritable, so you can use them more than once. The cost a bit more and sometimes, DVD players can't read them.
Just go to Amazon ir similar and search, DVDr are around £15 for 100.

You will need DVD+R or DVD+RW media. It really depends on what you want to burn, but those are the types of blank DVDs that you can burn.

DVD+R or DVD+RW. The R stands for recordable (once only) and the RW stands for rewritable (multiple).

Use a CD-R to make VCD's or SVCD's Or use DVD+R. The CD's hold less info, and the DVD's hold more.
