No is the short answer to your question.
There are many anti-mason people out there who would have you believe otherwise but we don't. If you look at it another way why would Freemasonry want to rule the world? If Freemasonry was ruling the world then we are not doing a very good job of it.
Freemasonry is a very large fraternal organisation mainly concerned with charity and brotherhood not world domination.

No.
to some other responses:
* God doesn't rule England, America or the Earth either. Humans do, and they tend to run it poorly.
* Freemasonry is not dying.
* Freemasonry does not equal big business, do some studies behind the flawed and false anti-mason writings
* While the Golden Spike Lodge material is accurate, no single Lodge or source speaks for all of Freemasonry

I have to stand in agreement here with captkidd357. I, myself, have been "raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason," and can say with certainty that Freemasonry neither aims for nor aspouses any kind of secret control over governments or mens' hearts.
Masonry is a fraternal fellowship whose teachings -- righteous, patriotic and charitable living -- are imparted allegorically through symbolism and ritual. That is all it is.
There is an extraordinary fascination, I have noticed, with Freemasonry on the part of the uninitiated. And it is the uninitiated (i.e. uneducated) who seem to have the most to say about it. These misinformed and oft religiously motivated zealots make ridiculous assertions as to the relationships between Freemasonry and the Illuminati, Freemasonry and Satanism, Freemasonry and government conspiracies, and all sorts of hyped-up and altogether false associations.
The truth is, these claims are nothing more than the fanciful notions of conspiracy theorists and religious zealots who fear what they do not understand, and haven't the courage to become a part of in order to acheive that understanding. To put an even finer point on it, the rituals, philosophies and designs of Freemasonry are fare less mysterious than so many who have absolutely no authority upon which to speak of it would have you believe.

Freemasonry in part as a whole is a Charitable Association of family men with High Moral standards and Values. It is a social order of Men from every walk of life and does not discuss or enter into Business ( big or otherwise), Political, Secular or Religious Discussions, as these topics are forbidden to be discussed while in Lodge.
It's purpose is to improve the Individual member by the tenets and values taught in hopes that this member will Live these principals outside the walls of his Lodge and into his personal life. By doing this he improves the manner in which he treats his community and actively engages in Charitable works in the community in which he lives.
While Freemasonry (as an organization) strictly forbids (while in Lodge) its Members (the Individual Brother Mason) to discuss or enter into any topic of a nature of Business ( big or otherwise), Political, Secular or Religious Discussions; Freemasonry (as an organization) demands and encourages its Members (the Individual Brother Mason) to:
* Remain active and faithful to the Religion and or faith practice of his choice.
* Observe his patriotic and civil duties to the country of his birth.
*Engage actively and true to the Political Parties and Opinions natural to his Social Conscience.
*Promote and engage in Open and Honest Business that he Believes in.
*Become and live a positive, Healthy and Charitable life towards all he may meet.
These Demands are the very core value of a True Mason, and every True Mason must observe these regardless if they conflict with the Brethren of any Lodge; the Members (the Individual Brother Mason) are true to these First.

Speaking as one of “them,” I can tell you Freemasonry is little more than a grown man’s version of clubhouse. It’s true that a substantial amount of the western world’s W.A.S.P. aristocracy is involved with Masonry. However, as an organization it is dying and no real political influence beyond the haphazard circumstance that old white men patron it who also happen to be the ruling culture.
