how long did you date before you got married & how long have you been married?

i met him at his best friend's house. he had spent 3 years in YA, (california youth authorities) for an accident that happened when he was 15. when he got out his friend threw hime a welcome home party and i saw him staring at me frm the other side of the pool. he had a shaved head and black sunglasses on, so i couldnt tell if he was actually staring at me the way i thought he was. he was very mysterious and a little dangerous looking. after the party he clled me and said he got my # frm his friend. he asked me to come to his house to hang out, and when i did, i saw his honey brown eyes for the first time and fell in love. later he told me his friend had sent him a picture of me a year before he got out, and he said he'd fallen in love w/ my picture a year before he'd gotten out. that was 9 yrs ago. and now we have 2 beautiful babies and a beautigul home together, and we're still more in love than ever...

hehe, not quite married yet but will be soon! We met on an aircraft carrier during overhaul. That is the only time you can get between our working areas. There is normally a wall, but it got cut open then. We stood watch at the same time and chatted together through the cut. Six-to twelve hours with out seeing another soul gives one plenty of time to get to know each other! We'll have been dating for a year and engaged for a year when we finally get married!

I met my husband when I was 16 and started a part-time job at a pizza joint where he was working. About a year and a half later he finally asked me out. I was 17 and he was 22.
We dated for a year and a half then we got engaged. Then we moved in together a few months later. We got married 8 months later. We have been married now for 15 months.

I met my husband through an online personals site, but we were email friends for a few months with nothing explicitly romantic until we met in person during my visit home(I was in Japan at the time, and he was in Florida). We dated for about a year and a half before getting married. We would have been married sooner (we talked about it after only dating a couple months), but I had to go back to my job in Japan and he was sent to Iraq, so we had to wait until we were both in America.
We have been together for 4 years, married for 2 and half of those and are very happy!

i met my spouse through my ex boyfriend ! and we dated for 6 years and then we got married we have been married for 9 years in march it will be 10 years ! the reason why we dated so long because each of us was married before and we rushed into the other marriages so we decided to get to know each other before marriage and its been great and we are best of friends

I love this question! I met my husband at a friends child's birthday party. I had just recently run into this friend at a store and hadn't seen her for years. My husband is related to the birthday boys family through marriage and almost didn't even come to the party! We got to talking and exchanged numbers through my friend. Then NOTHING! He didn't call for a whole month. But then he did call, and that was 10 years ago... We dated, co-habitated for 7 years to make sure it was going to work before we got married. We both come from broken homes so we really wanted to make sure. We've now been married for 3 years and are really happy with our 3 boys! (oldest is mine from previous relationship). We had our rough times, but I wouldn't change it for anything! I'm the luckiest woman in the world!

dated from August 2003 until June 2006 (bf/gf for almost 3 years i guess but we did have a break in between). Moved in together Summer 2004, so we lived together for 2 years. Been Married since June 2006

We met at a circuit assembly of Jehovah's Witnesses. We dated for 18 months before becoming engaged. Our engagement lasted 18 months before we were married. We have now been married 34 years. (Will be 35 come June 9)

We met when we were kids. I was 8 he was 14! My sister dated his brother. About 10 years later we ran into each other and became friends. We moved lost touch and didn't see each other for three years. Saw each other at Wal-mart started talking and went our separate ways. I told my friend that I was going to marry that man and two years later we went on our first date and one year later said "I DO" Been married 4 years. Still best friends! And We lived happily ever after....
