You said archival content, but I am assuming you mean archival quality. Archival quality paper has a neutral Ph - as in, it doesn't have acid in it that causes paper to deteriorate more quickly.

This is expensive, so I doubt all copy paper in the US is of archival quality.

This doesn't ring true to me. If the government wants archival copy paper, it would specify archival copy paper. No reason for ALL copy paper to be archival quality.

Nonsense. Any trip to a office supply store will verify that all kinds of paper is available.

I doubt it.

Try looking at the wrapper around the ream of paper. Does it say "archival quality"? Does it say "Low acid paper" or something like that?
