I am very new to the san antonio area (north) and i would love to take my 4 y.o trick or treating but i have no idea what neighborhoods would be great since he finally understands the concept and is excited about dressing up. I was also wondering where the great hunting is for awesome candy. Thanks for any help.

As you live on the north side, mosth of the area should be OK, good areas would include, Alamo Heights, Stone Oak, Shavano Park, all of these are nice areas, but I'm sure there are many near you also. Ask around your neighborhood if you have met anyone. If not often many areas have children's festivals and trick or treating at the schools or churches. When we lived at Canyon Lake the whole town opened up and the kids could trick or treat at all the stores.

Why don't you log onto a website that will give you local neighborhoods and townhouse/condo complex. You're going to want a safe place to park and a neighborhood with sidewalks and streetlights.
