I am having consistant top cover jams, it happens every time i try to print something. it seems to get stuck under the toner cartridge everytime. i checked the roller, and it seems fine. I don't think its a sensor, but i could be wrong. this is the first time i've attempted to fix a printer. any suggestions?

Cheryl, thanks for hte spam, a 4200 being a LASER needs no INK, it's toner.

Open top cover and remove toner next time it jams. See WHERE the front edge jams. There is a roller to the rear of the toner, under a cover, and if a piece of paper gets stuck there it can cause this, alternatively it COULD be a toner cartridge failure.

If you can do a test, see EXACTLY where the paper stops, and message me via Yahoo I'll try to assist more.
