I only restart if I have a power outage that forces my computer to shut down, or if I've installed a program that required a restart. If you close down your design program itself, the "counter" should restart, so you won't be up to untitled 40.

I'm pretty obsessive; I reboot my computer every time I switch programs, which can sometimes be upwards of 10 times a day.
