I'm installing a very expensive program, and I'm afraid if it gets uninstalled for any reason,I won't be able to get it back without buying a new one.I'm wondering if I can reinstall it from the same CD.

as long as you keep the serial number/activation code as well as the cd you should be fine. if you paid for it, and have problems reinstalling it at any point, you should be able to call the company and they will be able to help you.

if i knew the software you are installing i could give you a more definative answer.

You should be able - both physically and legally - to reinstall the same software on the same computer. Most companies assume that at some point in the life of the program it is going to become corrupt and need to be reinstalled, or be deleted, or the hard drive crashes and has to be replaced. So it is normal for a program to allow a reinstall on the same computer.
