Was Boston just better? Did they beat themselves?

I do think that the Red sox have a great team and they played well. The Rockies did not play their best baseball but that is the way it goes. I think they had too much time off. I truly believe if they would have not had the time off the series would have lasted longer. Rockies are a good team with a lot of young natural talent that just couldn't get er done!

Boston had them outclassed up and down the lineup, on the mound (especially the starters), in the bullpen, on the bench. This was a better team showing no mercy to a lesser opponent. That, and the Rocks hardly got a lucky break ever, but sometimes that's how these things go.

I reject any notions of "rusty from the layoff". That might -- might! -- go a little bit in explaining Game 1, but after that, if they weren't back in their saddles, that's on them and not any off days or other nonsense.

The Rockies had an exciting run, but there was a brick wall at the end.

They came up against a team that was more experienced in that type of play. It was awesome to see the rockies go 21-22, but it really comes down to they played a better team over all. Look at the line-up for the red soxs, I would love to have 3 or 5 of those guys on my next years fantasy team.

"Too much time off". I have to laugh at that. I agree with the person who said that that would affect their first game, but they should've picked it up after that. Boston was simply the better team. Quit making excuses and accept this fact!

In postseason play, the importance of pitching is the biggest key to success. The Red Sox had the better pitching, period.

They just got beat by a vastly superior team and there's nothing more complicated about it than that .
