hi there its been long :) i think changing a "name" wouldn't really change your path but may change your presence it may give a feeling of something new in you "the law of economics"
i simple terms you will get tired of anything if its done in a same fashion without any changes in mass or size or colour over and over again... that simply means changes do work. it may be big or small in degree. the best example i can give you is a siple addition to your name guess wat it is

Dr.Eric Chua Yanshan Maynas ... and check the changes in your daily lifestyle or they way you would putaccross your thoughts ....you wld definately see atleast a minor change..... :)

good night bud tc.

depends on what you believe in.
If you believe in numerology, astrology, palmistry, biorhythm, handwriting analysis, etc. then changing your name and how you write it "can" change your life (not necessarily your "life path"). However "life path" in numerology describes what a person was meant to be determined by their birth date. You can choose to believe it or not. In palmistry one hand is supposed to show where you've been and the other palm is supposed to show where you are going. It's up to you if you wish to believe that or not. Changing the handwriting can change a person, but will it mess up their psyche? Maybe so. Maybe the old and the new will not mix and will only confuse a person. Changing a name, well writers take on pseudo names for various reasons, and hollywood stars take on pseudo names....does it make their life different, sure. Does it change where they will end up? Who knows, maybe it depends on each individual. I think the main question is, do you believe in "entertainment", "business", or in medical findings. Each is different; each has it's place.

Just as changing a name could bring fame, it could also confuse people, make one sound unstable, make it seem like a person is hiding something, maybe hiding a past. When you change a name it must be for a good purpose, a good reason. A woman who marries, or marries several times changes her name by tradition. In old traditional circles taking the man's last name was a good thing. The old tradition was to not make women stable so that they had to depend on men. So if they changed their name a few times then they were marked. But so it is with changing a name just because a person feels like it could make employers question the name, the reason, the background, or why they can't find background information.

People from another country who have "language" names who deal with English speaking people (for employment or commerce purposes) normally change their first name to fit in, and that's acceptable. Sometimes if they were born in another country and then say move here (USA) and live here their childhood for most of their life they might even change their entire name showing their allegiance to the new country.

Not your life path. You're still the same person. But the fact that you're changing your name means that you have changed and you are starting a new chapter in your life. A name is a powerful thing.

I don't think so sweetpea. Women change their names all the time when they get married, if they choose to. That doesn't change anything but your name. (it also creates an amazing amount of paper work).

You life path is determined by the choices you make, and no matter what you call yourself, the part of you that makes those decisions is the part of you that will determine which path you go down.

Good luck.

No, only exercising your free will can change your life path. Changing your name may make you feel like you're taking a step in the right direction though.

I have to tell you though Eric, I like your name just the way it is.

I do not know for sure. But, here in India, many celebrities are changing the way their names are spelt--adding a letter here and there--in the hope of achieving better results, on the advice of their astrologer/tarot card readers.

Some are so superstitious that they name their movies or TV serial starting with a particular letter like K, for better luck.

There's no harm in trying if you are desperate. Its like if you gain nothing you'll lose nothing either...

No, you can change your life path, not your name.
