I have two names in mind one for a boy and one for a girl.
Samaya Nicole for the girl and Zekhai Isaiah for the boy. I wish I could tell how they are pronounced because they may look awkward to say. Just wanted to hear some opinions, thanks.

The girl's name is okay. The boy's name needs some work - I would change the Zekhai part... he'll just end up being called Zeke.

I am a teacher also. I agree with the person above me who said she would cringe if she saw the boy's name on an attendance sheet. I just hate mispronouncing kids' names, but some of them are impossible to figure out until you hear them pronounced. Even then, some of the ones I have seen made me say to myself that I'd never have figured that one out.

Is it Ze-Ki? Original, I don't know if I like it or not, it does go nicely with Isaiah though - I like the long i sound at the end of the first and beginning of the second names.

Samaya Nicole is okay too, if you are pronouncing the may part as my.

Samaya Nicole is a good name, its pretty, interesting, and obvious how to pronounce. The boys name, however, is a little too interesting. Its good to have a unique name, but if its too unique, he'll end up hating it! Find a name that can be easily pronounced and less confusing.

Samaya Nicole is very pretty. I would change around the boys name to Isaiah Zekhai, I think this way is cuter.

Honestly, I think they're dreadful.

Samaya looks awkward, and if it is pronounced Sah-mai-ah, then the sounds run together, too. The Arabic name Samara might be a better choice. It's exotic, but not unheard of.

Zekhai baffles me. Are you going for Zack-high? In Arabic, Zaki (Za-key) means chaste. I'd use Zachariah. If you did, Zachai could always be a nickname. But to put something so unusual on your son's birth certificate seems short-sighted.

Your kids will be wonderful and unique - but perhaps their names should be just the tiniest bit more familiar.

I like Samaya, but not Nicole b/c it's too popular. I like Isaiah Zekhai. It sounds better than Zekhai Isaiah. Good luck!!

Honestly, I don't like the first names. The middle names are good. If you pick a made-up creative name, the kid has to explain, spell it, pronounce it over and over all his/her life. Also, studies done on hiring job applicants showed that they more regularly tossed aside the resumes which had uncommon, made-up names, they didn't even consider them for a job interview! Maybe you should research that. It's nice to have a unique name, but you can carry the idea so far it becomes a burden for the child. See also the link below.

if you have to explain how it's pronounced, it will drive the child nuts for the rest of his/her life.
Samaya Nicole is cute though. I'd switch to Isaiah Zekhai if you are really sold on Zekhai. Its too strange for a first name.

I don't really care for them......but that is just my opinion. The girl name might grow on me but the boy name is out there. However I do like Nicole and Isaiah.

As a teacher I would cringe if I saw those names on my enrollment sheet.
