The genocide visited upon the Jews by Hitler and his cronies before and during World War II is commonly called the Holocaust - although it is also called the Shoah.

It was called the Holocaust. It eliminated 6 Million people from Europe. You need to remember that when people try to deny it happened. The German's wiped them off the map in a mechanized way. Based on population numbers in Europe prior to Hitler, there 6 million people missing.

That's what genocide means. The deliberate murdering of a group of people based on ethnicity, race, religion or nationality.
