beautiful women?

It's impossible for me to compare the beauty of women from different eras based simply on written descriptions. But since this is a history forum, I would go along with Helen of Troy for the reason that her beauty is said to have actually affected history in a significant way (even if the account is largely tinged with legend.)

Of course, if I wanted to shamelessly fish for "best answer", I could say "the most beautiful woman in history is...uh.....bernie m!" But I wouldn't do that ;)

Homer makes a good argument with Helen of Troy. On a more contemporary theme may one suggest, Marilyn Monroe, Jane Fonda (the Barbarella years), Gina Gershon and Jessica Rabbit.

It all depends on what era you live in in the early history of man , very fat woman were considered beautiful . look at Titian paintings and the old masters , it was mainly because there were very few woman rich enough to be so fat, they could also afford make up and good clothes , peasant woman were drawn and hagged from malnutrition and work weary . later in medieval and later times large hips were considered to be the thing , mainly because infanticide were many children did not reach maturity , so woman with large hips were looked on as being able to have many children with little trouble and were considered desirable , now in modern times fashion has changed again with large breasted and small hipped woman are the thing to be and i expect in future that will alter to whatever conditions impose on human beings
