Well I live in an 18 wheeler, and have to move around quite a bit, and carrying around a desktop is a major pain....believe it or not I used to before laptops got as cheap as they are now. Plus desktop machines don't hold up to well when getting beat around on the road.

ME!!! laptops are the best ever........ I love being able to just take it anywhere in my house and use it, why would I want to sit at the same desk, in the same room, like a ball & chain, LAPTOPS = FREEDOM & they're the future.......
Sorry to anyone who doesn't have a laptop, but I just can't deny that they're the best thing since sliced bread.......

you have options to upgrade your RAM and thats about it
with desktops, you can build your own system(which you cant do with laptops) and then upgrade it as you go along
although i do like having a laptop at school

I used too! I had two and i loved them. But i needed a powerful machine for heavy image manipulation, so i brought a pc! I love it! Its been heavily customised and runs sooooo fast! I miss having a portable computer, but the perfomance makes up for it!!!!

Not me - at least, not the ones I've used. The ergonomics are awful, and they're uncomfortable for me to use them. I'd rather have a desktop.
