On some models you need to hold in the power switch for a few seconds. Really need more details before giving a more extensive answer though.

You problably selected the restart option instead of the shutdown option.

maybe you have the restart option selected, go to start and then to shutdown,if it says restart,select shutdown from the drop down menu,no other reason really

Uhhh Do you click restart you should just click shutdown if your click restart or it could be your unplugging it and you plug it right back in
