I was and still am, a bit of a heavy metal fan.
My musical tastes have changed over the years however, to something a little more eclectic.
I'd go through all the genres, but it'd take too long.

Recently though, I have discovered the birlliance that was Frédéric François Chopin. After listening to some of his peices, I became facinated by the man behind the music and i did a little delving into Wikipedia.
I was saddened to learn of his particular circumstances, dying at the very young age of 39 and the somewhat troubled life he had lived.
In contrast to that though was his ability to come up with such masterful works, beginning roughly at the age of 7.
His music, no matter how old, would live on for centuries it seems.

Now, my question is this. Where are the people for this century, the ones that will create masterpeices of musical genius??
When today's society is focus on quick-fix manufactured bands, has the originality died away for good, or simply shifted elsewhere?

I think that the days of the manufactured bands are numbered.

I envision a musical landscape that allows each individual user to create his own rhythm, his own beat, and even supply the words which can be assimilated into a sound track on the fly.

And, the geniuses of the near future will be the ones who come up out of this virtual world and grab the hearts of the others who inadvertently catch a snippet as they meander through the endless Internet pathways.

We will find those geniuses. They will just emanate from a different source.

So many people, so much talent don't loss sight of the real problem here, do your think that ALL the masters got noticed? I don't need to list those that have been realize to realize that their was plenty that weren't. That aside the motivation for our society are not the same as other societies in times past. Music wasn't always done for money, it was at a time just done for the sake of doing it. The money has sort of.... corrupted what was once something people did as a passion just for one's self, instead its done for pride, for "Accomplishment", or just to get laid. But my point is that true genius is driven by a need inside the individual something deep and worth dieing for, not a want outside of them, you know something you THINK you can't live without. So really were dealing with the consequence's of what happens when you sell your passion and turn it into a job, combined with the fact that artist reflect society, and our society is pretty angry and pretty lost, I know I listen to heavy metal too, that's what its all about, lol...... then you get people who THINK they know whats going on, hence pop-everything.
