Regardless of wether or not you think we should go to war with Iran, why would you bury your head in the sand regarding their support of terrorism and their intention to build a nuclear warhead.

If anything, knowing the facts allows us to discuss appropriate courses of action.

Is there a process of diplomacy and sanctions to follow before a war, of course there is.

Due to the fact that many rely solely on far left web sites or blogs for information they will perceive anything George W Bush says as an outright lie and refuse to believe it.......

I have never heard anyone question Iran's support for Hamas and Hezbollah, nor have they denied it. They do not support Al Qaeda who's support base is in Saudi Arabia. Lumping all "terrorism" together is reminisced of the creation of the term WMD that linked poison gas, which we had reason to believe Iraq had, to nuclear weapons, for which there was no evidence. I doubt that the American public would have supported a war to destroy the poison gas stores we thought Iraq had, since when they were actively using them against the Kurds and Iran, we did nothing. If you think knowing the facts is important then you should not use sloppy terminology that serve to mislead people and conceal the facts.

Part of the reason is the "little boy who cried wolf" phenomenon and what happened with Iraq. Lots of people don't trust what this administration says about other countries and, in fact, sees it as a manipulation of information to achieve their desired result.

More important is how long the Iranian people will keep their heads in the sand.
Ahminahdinnahjacket promised all new equipment for the Iranian agricultural sector. Instead, the money has been spent on Hezzbullah, Hamas, the PLO, insurgents in Iraq, Al Queda and the uranium enrichment program.
I don't think hungry people will join Mockmood's idealism for very long.

Because its BS. Bush and his right-wing friends have been running around yelling "there's terrorists everywhere" to the point of the ridiculous.

People have better things to do than waste time and effort on right-wing paranoid fantasies. So there's some terrorists out there--Bush's stupidity has only created more of them and gotten more Americans killed in the process than the terrorists killed.

How do you know they are? What would be the benefit to Iran? It's ludicrous. I'm not burying my head in the sand.
But I'm not about go off on emotion and fear mongering.
I'd rather be smart and intelligent about it. Evaluate the risk.
There are lots of tools to do so that even lay people can use.

I don't think anyone is. One could also ask why people are burying their heads in the sand when it comes to US support for terrorist organizations and its long history of warmongering.

And no one has yet offered any solid evidence that Iran is building or even planning on building nuclear weapons.

I do not feel US media has really correctly portrayed what exactly goes on there. Reading these foreign papers you see awhole 'nother side. Thanks for taking the time to review the ones I recommended. My reference to do HW was not meant to be an additional attack. That is what I meant to say. Mahalo.
