I suppose its up to you if you want to get it done. As an uncut Guy I could never even think of getting it done though. In the end you have to choose for yourself.
Why do you want to get it done? its not dirty to be uncut if you just take 5 seconds to wash each day. check out the links below and make up your own mind, after all its your penis so you should be the one to make the choice. You are lucky your parents didnt make it for you.

Circumcision At 40

Not advisable. Almost any problem (the exceptions are really rare, like gangrene or frostbite on the foreskin -- can be treated without removing the foreskin. The reduced sensitivity you get when your clothes rub on your glans all the time is much more of a factor when you are 40 than when you are 20. Ditto the reduction in sensation when the glans becomes keratinized (basically scarred) by the exposure to cloth. Infections occur in a significant number of circumcisions, and the pain after the anesthesia wears off can be intense.

Whatever your problem is, don't get penis reduction surgery, aka circumcision. Ask for a second opinion, and a third or fourth if needed. Doctors often find it easier and more profitable to do a quick operstion instead of actually dealing with the problem medically, but it's not their penis which is going to have reduced sensation for the rest of their lives. Good luck!

complications inherent circumcision age 40

Studies have found that it reduces sensitivity (this article also mentions how it has lost popularity in the USA in recent times):
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,285532,00.html

Makes masturbation more difficult:
http://www.blackwell-synergy.com/doi/abs/10.1111/j.1464-410X.2006.06646.x

Which makes sense, that's how it was made popular in the USA:
http://english.pravda.ru/science/health/27-03-2006/77873-circumcision-0

Increases erectile dysfunction rates:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&list_uids=14979200&dopt=Abstract%7C
Those are some of the risks apart from the ones right after the surgery (bleeding, infection, skin bridges) which you can read and research more about. Circumcision's no longer as popular as before. The USA is the last developed nation doing it to newborns without medical/religious reasons and even our rates have fallen from as high as 90% in the 60s to as low as 14% nowadays.

If you have a tight foreskin or a too sensitive head, you can fix that without surgery.

If it is for medical reasons it is advisable, As the complications can be serious if not done.
But if done on older men the main problems can be healing time , the pain is worse ,
But apart from these there is no other problems that arise usually.

its a personal choice. but the older you are the more itl hurt. for instance babies usually get circumcised at 20 mins old. it has to do with the skin.but being un circumcised is becoming more common as time passes.

No complication.Except you wont be able to make sex for 2-3 weeks because you will be on hormones(to prevent erection)
Yes it is advisable as far as hygiene is concerned.
And it will well known that when the penis is circumcised it become less sensitive,so u can make sex for a longer time.

Evrything positive.So go on..

But dont forget you must see a good surgeon and after operation keep aceptical precautions.

The worst "complication" is that a portion of your penis will be gone forever.
There is no medical reason for this procedure, there is only the hygiene myth.

After 40 years of being natually in-tact, why would you want to chop part of your penis off now..?
