My divorce was just finalized on Sept 14th of this year...I realized and always knew that my "ex" was and is a good man but, people change and who I fell in love with is not who he is today...Not someone I would want to be with....Whether it was the separation that changed him or that he grew up, his current girlfriend is doing me a huge favor by being with him so he's not trying to stress me out...We have two beautiful boys together so we do have to communicate as co-parents but, thats enough for me...I have someone now who completes me and who is my perfect match....So as we sometimes may have regrets the realities measures up to alot more...It's apart of life and you have to continue moving on....

Grass is always greener on the other side. As simple as that. It is about not only realizing when you are wrong, but actually learning from it. Sometimes it is just easier to dump your spouse for some new adventure, when in real life what you are getting is not always better. You have to realistically ask yourself a question - ok, we can get divorced, but in the long run will there be someone who will treat me better? Or do i deserve what I am getting? I think a lot of the times people get divorced, not because they dont want to be together but also because they want to hurt the other person.

Getting married again to the same person is not something that I would want to do. Maybe the ex has changed and it would work out. I have known couples who divorced and remarried later and it did not work out. I got divorced and there is no way that I would ever want my ex back. He is my ex for a reason.

Mistake or not, I think people have a hard time getting back together because of the "nastiness" of the divorce and things that have been done afterwards. People have a hard time letting go of that.

No, both of my ex husbands were lying, cheating, unfaithful men, I even caught one of them in bed with a girl, so it was glaringly obvious that I had made mistakes.

It hasn't happened to me, but it did happen to one of my wife's friends.
She was married to a guy, divorced him. About 8 or 9 years later remarried him.
