Because thinking beyond the limit of comprehension has this false sense of "strain" and "stress" for some people. They don't want to 'think' that hard. They also may be selfish, they fear what is out of thier "realm of comphrehension" because the "next level of possibilities" is posssibly beyond thier control.

What a good question and I am going to give you some sort of recognition. I cant wait to see what the brain boxes are going to come up with, This is what I think,Only a jerk would think that there thinking limits are the thinking limits of the human race. Only a fool would not want to take the blinkers of and not open there mind

Because the inability to comprehend something won't allow some people to believe all the possibilities. It's just like with a belief in God. So many people don't believe because they just cannot comprehend Him. Therefore, He doesn't exist. That's a small way of thinking.

Narrow-minded, maybe they aren't aware of what they are capable of. The statement, you can do anything u put your mind to doesn't lead everyone to... I can be president or I can run the world because financial issues and educational limitation may be in the way of opening doors for certain ppl. All in all u have to be taught to dream BIG sometimes its easier to do what you see everyone else doing instead of being a leader of your own destiny...

I am thus sum of everything I perceive, therefore nothing exists beyond that perception!

Can I ask in return why people ask really stupid questions in the philosophy section rather than going and studying Socrates etc and seeing the readily available answers to most of the inane question they pose to non philosophisers

Would a Computer program ask dressmakers to answer his technical questions?

Some people get made to feel like they are unintelligent so perhaps feel that they lack confidence and therefore don't push themselves to achieve the absolute best

because you are what you think and thin king is the hardest work there is, which is why so few people engage it in.

so it they can't comprehend/think about it, they just conclud that that's it, there couldn't possibly be anything more!
