Many people think that Cheney has been the real power and that Bush is just the token President, who got into office because of his Father.

Its a combination of the three. Bush war #1 in 1991 did not solve the issues or problems. We were told the war if for oil! Funny today barrel of oil is now $90.00.

Bush war #2 the three stooges led us to believe and we believed the fairy tale of Iraq associated with 9-11. The fear of terrorism by Ashcroft.

Unwilling to listen to those who warned what would happen with a war in Iraq.

Let us not forget the combined military experience of the three could fit on head of pin.

Cheney contributed the most to this mess. George W. Bush was selected to be President for two reasons:
1. To 'settle the score' with Saddam Hussein, a vendetta which his family had held since the days of Desert Storm when his daddy was ridiculed, criticized and humiliated for not 'finishing the job' and ousting Hussein at that time;
2. The Bilderberg Conference knew Bush would be nothing more than Cheney's puppet. Bush's spoiled-rich-kid ego has always been his downfall: he wanted to 'play Commander-In-Chief' just like he wanted to 'play soldier' - as long as he didn't have any real responsibility.

I believe the democrat party that is more interested in gaining political power than in defending the nation is more to blame. Imagine how well FDR would have done in WWII if he had so many government leaders condemning him and even going to Italy or Germany to speak against him. Seriously, be honest, let go of the blind ideological hatred and be honest with yourself for a change.
