Jealousy usually stems from a bigger problem which is lack of self confidence.
I don't see any use for the emotion. I think that it is one of evils way of tempting us. If its not one of deadly sins, it should be.

If jealousy were a wasted emotion we would have a lot of boring TV shows and movies. Would "Desperate Housewives" be as popular if people didn't care about jealousy? We would be a society of hump'n Rabbits... if we didn't have the emotion of jealousy to reinforce monogamous relationships.
_______
What emotion do we use when all the great looking rabbits get all the guy rabbits and all the homely rabbits are lonely? Are they still jealous?

Not necessarily, what if you are out with your boyfriend or husband and some woman spends a lot of time talking to him. It might inspire you to realize that you have been taking them for granted and your actions would change and bring you closer. That could be positive.
What if you friend babysits your little one and does something with your child that you never thought of. That child then talks about it for days. You then do the same thing with your child and have one more thing to share with that little one. That could be positive.
All emotions exist for a reason and it is up to the individual to feel them and act on them appropriately. Not going after your boyfriend or husband or your friend but seeing your behavior and changing it for the better.

Yes it is, absolutely no point the way I see it. I mean sure there's gonna be some situations where your first reaction might be jealousy, but you just have to realize it's not going to solve anything, only makes things worse really, so what's the point.

Jealousy is one of the biggest wastes of time and state of mind. It is much more rewarding to create an identity for yourself, rather than wish for luxuries that others have.

Dude, I PERSONALLY invite you to my house and tell my wife this!! As much as I love the woman, that's her flaw right there!! I mean, she doesn't go through my emails, mail, backpacks or nothing, but she has a tendency to go ballistic if she even THINKS something's going on. And no, being completely off the mark doesn't stop her...

oh yea.. when people jealous, they want to be just like someone or have a same thing that someone have.
it's rediculous because no one in this world is similar to the other, and we all are different, and so what that someone have something or doesn't have.
We all are individual.
Jealousy will not bring any good for you, it will only turn u green! lol:)

not really, sometimes people take things to extremes, but other than that all emotions have some sort of purpose.
