First:
Rewrite them all on your computer.
Second:
Create your own website which contains the shoebox full of poetry so that we can all have the pleasure of reading them. Alternatively, you can just put it all on a blog.
Third:
Make an announcement on Answers when it's all ready. Bring it on!
-->Gosh...this is really fun ;-)

Re-read the poetry. Put back in the shoebox what you don't like. Place shoebox on shelf.
What is worth looking at, either re-write it and place it in another shoebox ("re-written poetry"), or place it in another shoebox ("poetry to be re-written"). Place shoebox (or shoeboxes) next to other shoebox on shelf.
Buy more shoes.

you really don't need to worry about the poetry once it is safely in the shoebox. put a nail through the lid and you will be ok.

it's while that stuff is running around the kitchen eating all the mouldy cheese from behind the 'fridge and GETTING STRONGER!!! that you ought to be terrified.

It depends _
I've burned everything from the past the moment that was a dead cause. After all, why shall we live in the past?
"Love me, or forget me!" (But I still have some to work on, for this moment, before burning. Ha, it's so good _)
Hope you'll not dedicate those poems to another one, or worst, to the ex. (it looks like to be a characteristic of the males. Sorry, but it should be done something before and not when some just may remember _)
Have you published them? They may be of some value!? So, keep them!

Get a second shoebox. I think it's cool that you've kept your earlier work and ideas. It's good to watch as your work improves, and it also seems to capture your state of mind at different times in your life.

Buy one of those pretty hard-backed journals and rewrite the poems in it, at least the ones you like. Then memorizing them.

I have a similar book of poetry.. i only contains poems that I love and have memorized.

My favorite poem is Sonnett 116 by William Shakespheare

I only wish I knew. I don't keep mine in a shoebox, but in an old trunk and have no clue what to do about it. Fortunately I did have one (out of all those!??) published. So I say, submit, Submit, SUBMIT!!!

Go through them and place them in categories you see fit. Then type them up on the computer to compile a manuscript.
Its tedious work, but it is well worth it. Then see if there is a publisher who accept manuscipts via e-mail. Be sure to follow their guidelines. It doesn't hurt to ask for help. Good luck.
