I've never actually lost money, but I have been mugged several times & had money stolen; the last time this happened was in 1999, and the mugger beat me into the hospital.
: )
By the way: That time, I had about $40 lifted, however, I've lost over $200 once when I got mugged right after I had cashed my paycheck.

That's about 3 months ago. I lost my wallet with about $350 in it. I cried like a baby. Someone was nice to send it back to me in the mail...minus the money. I still have that wallet, but every time I look at it, it reminds of how much I lost and I hate it.

About 6 years ago, when I filed for divorce from my first wife -- lost my car, my house, and pretty much everything that wouldn't fit in the back of my car...
