My website is running very slowly today and I've spoken to 4 other people today from Banks and other companies who all conicidentally said "Hold on a minute, my computer's running slow today". Is there some kind of overload of the internet going on today and could it all just crash?

you have an unusual set of indicators. i've got been employing a macBookPro for years, no such issues. Formatting the no longer undemanding force should not be required, ever. i've got no longer mandatory to try this on any of the Macs i've got used. I unquestionably have encountered one sluggish working mac belonging to a buddy - the situation grew to become into brought about by using anti-virus utility. as quickly as that grew to become into got rid of the gadget velocity cam back to regularly occurring. With diagnostics you're able to run the two the utility on the no longer undemanding force, or on the OS DVD. the 2d option could be extra useful if there is an HD subject. The DVD needs to be inserted, the computing gadget restarted with the alt key down; or you are able to bypass into gadget possibilities and choose the DVD because of the fact the startup disk. Then use the utilities on the DVD to envision for a hardware fault. in case you have Applecare then touch the help to perform a little diagnostics and get it taken care of. stable good fortune.

Happy, usually a slow internet connection speaks of a virus of some kind, so make sure your anti-virus is up to date. However, I doubt a virus is causing the slowness on everyone's computer...instead, due to working with Banks, accounts, and networks, the problem is probably that the servers that host the Bank networks are slow, causing all the computers connecting to the server to be slow as well.

It should clear up in a while.

Good luck!

I am not an expert, but to trouble shoot the issue, i would ask any of the following questions first:

When was the last time you shut down your computer?
When was the last time your temporary internet files were cleared out?
And the other question would be are you all on the same website, because it is possible it could be that websites servers that are running slowly.

Its because every one is onto a virus "life is beautiful a powerpoint slide" which comes with email... which destroys all your PC and then collects information about you .. even passwords of your email account..
No anti virus at this moment can give protection against that at this moment.. so you too must be careful..
