You want to make sure you don't mistake a wireless network card with a mobile broadband aircard.

A wireless network (wifi) card can connect you to local wifi internet hotspots but if your looking to get mobile internet access whereever you go then you'll want a mobile broad band aircard.

Most of your big phone companies have them: AT&T, Sprint, etc.

Sprint seems to be the most well known They carry a Sierra Wireless U595 AirCard which is an EVDO USB modem with GPS capabilities. The small aircard simply plugs directly into any USB port (like your printer would) or connect via the included docking cradle. Compatible with Microsoft Windows.

I've listed a direct link below to the product if that is what you were seeking:

You are talking about Wi Fi which if you have a newer laptop could be built in, if not you need a Wi Fi Card that would slip into your system. You as well need a wireless router if you are trying to connect at home, otherwise you could pick up signals from almost anywhere that would allow you to connect to the Net.

It's usually built in to most new laptops. A simple switch will activate the ability to connect wirelessly to the internet. Wither that or a PCI Wireless card.

Most have wireless cards built in. If you're from the dark ages of laptops that don't have one built in then don't even bother trying to set one up. CALL AN ISP

Do you mean you need to buy one? Some are already wireless - they have the right bits built in.
