They did shake hands.... guess you missed it...
Belichick and Gibbs have an old rivalry going back, many years, and a great deal of respect for each other...
Folks should stop trying to read something, into nothing.
Ohhh and this little bit Jason Cole's article...
By the time Gibbs got to the post-game press conference, he was effusive with praise and pointed no fingers at the Pats.
"I don't think you could say enough good things about (the Patriots)," Gibbs said. "They've got great talent, great coaching … It will take a lot to stop them."
But then Gibbs was asked if the Pats should perhaps have stopped themselves.
"No, I have no problem with anything that they did," he said. "Nothing, no problems from me."

Bill did the same thing to the coach of the Jets last year after the Pats lost to the Jets. Hate to keep bringing up the past but maybe he just doesnt respect a guy who cheats.

Gibbs did the right move and ALL NFL coaches should do the same.Don't tell me a genious like Belicheck cannot understand the rulebook when it came to recording the signals of his opponents. He failed to give an honest answer when pressed on the cheating scandal and the Patriot organization will someday pay the price.A few years from now when they start to fade it will be payback time and nobody will shed a tear for the poor Pats when the shoe is on the other foot.

I think Joe Gibbs showed Belicek just how he felt about that 4th quarter crap. Gibbs will say this and that about the game and try to keep a low profile. He will not give the Patriots any more amunition but if you don't repsect another teams coach, the best way to show that is be a no show after the game.
Joe Gibbs is class and I despise the Redskins. Belicek is classless, plain and simple.

You are right to be surprised....yet, it was the frustration of the last quarter and the the final score that got the better of Gibbs. He is usually a class act. This is a way different Patriot team compared to last year....a surprise for everyone, particularly the Redskins!

because the final score was 52-7
because belichek has always, is always, and will always be an a$$hole
because joe is a class act who would run the ball the entire fourth quarter if he was ahead 38-0 after three quarters
the patriots tried a fourth down conversion (successfully) late in the fourth quarter instead of kicking a field goal
8 passes to 7 runs int he fourth quarter, including a kneel down
the lack of respect is appalling
ps lots of articles on espn about it

Belichick didn't shake Dungy's hand last season after the AFC championship. Why you don't lose respect for Bill too?

I got nothing bad to say about him. As a Pats fan I love to watch them destroy opponents. Perhaps you had to live through the years of beong called the Patsys to fully understand...
