~ABC has made the following statement regarding Nathaniel Marston's future with OLTL: "We are reviewing the matter internally, and until completion of this review we have taken him off the schedule."
One Life to Live's Nathaniel Marston, who plays Dr. Michael McBain ended up in Bellevue Hospital on Sunday, October 7 after allegedly attacking three people and brawling with city cops. According to the police report the incident took place in midtown New York at 45th Street and 10th Avenue. Police said the 6-foot-3 actor also appeared to be under the influence of narcotics, possibly cocaine. Marston, a former amateur boxer, assaulted his victims with a crate, which resulted in one of the victim's legs to be broken. As the officers tried to arrest him, Marston began flailing his arms and kicking at them.

I had heard about this the other day. I have to say, I'm more surprised with how not surprised i am that this has happened with this actor. If you think about it, on the show he is can be very intense and in your face when upset, so it's not that big of a leap to think that he may experience extreme negative behavior in real life. I find that him being in Bellevue is very interesting. I wonder what that's all about. I think He will probably be fired.

It's old news. The New York Daily News had this story on Friday. Nathaniel will be losing his job. ABC doesn't know if the character will be recast or just let go.

Didn't he get in some trouble a few years ago, something about beating up the atm. I don't know I remember reading some where that he had to go to anger management classes.

Wow! I hadn't heard any of that. I also heard Marcie was leaving to do Broadway so maybe that's just a resolution to the whole storyline. They will both get put away. I hope he gets help for his problems. Sad to see talent wasted on drug and alcohol problems.

Wow!!! I am totally shocked!!! Not living in New York, I had NO idea. I do hope he's able to get the help he needs to straighten out his life. Funny, they usually PLAY those kind of characters....not BE them!!!

This is sad news, I enjoy his work on OLTL. I know they have a 0 tolerance policy on their morals clause in the actors contracts so it really isn't surprising. I wonder what will happen to Kirsten Storms from GH who was arrested for DUI? Michael Nadar who played Demitri on AMC was fired for buying cocaine several years back.

The character of Michael seems so reserved. I can't see him being a junkie. But I guess you never know about people. It doesn't matter to me though, I can't stand his character.

Wow. Thanks for the heads-up. I guess it just goes to show you don't realize what the actors' life is like outside the studio. I hope he can pull it together for himself, not just his fans. It would be a shame to loose him on the show, but I think his health and safety should come first.
