hey kimberlee i sent you the link to my story...my first paranormal experience....it was a pretty full on experience also witnessed by my grandmother....ive never seen anything like it again after that night...and something i will never forget...that night has stayed with me right up until now........oh i see sparks of light all the time, like the girl below me has said, the first time i started seeing them was in 2003...when i first started seeing them, i shrugged it off but i always did feel a pressece in the house when they were sparking up...it wasnt until my friend was home with me, that i noticed she could see them to, one sparked up in the corner just beside us (in the middle of us) and we both jumped at the same time at it...and i had never told her i was seeing them....we spent the whole night jumping when they sparked...now i still see them from time to time...i believe they are an angels pressence....yes i read your tarot story fasinating...i can also relate to the story above about the mirror, ive never experienced anything with mirrors, but i have travelled to a different plain, of the spirit world, i can relate to how we talk telepathy with each other, and it sounds just like voices talking (human talk) but we talk through our minds instead with our mouths, we do feel solid like we have our bodies with us...i think its one of the most amazing experiences to have......edit..oh denie i just saw your message..ok ill write it here..sorry skeptics if this sounds out of the normal but IT DID HAPPEN and it wasnt a wild imagination as i didnt know about ghosts and hauntings at this stage in my life...i was living in italy with my grandmother we had a two story house with one bedroom upstairs..and a balcony..it was and still is a very old medival town...i wanted to make pot plants for our balcony and didnt have any soil...at that time there were some workmen digging up the road just outside our house (now i wonder why they were digging up the road )...anyway my nan went over to them and asked them for some dirt, which they gladly filled up the bucket for her...i still remember the bucket....after that she put the bucket of dirt on our balcony, i hadnt touched it yet (thankgod) when it got late that night and we went to bed (we shared the same bed) about an hour later what i can only explain as a demon with a snakes body actually manifested itself in our room..i was frozen with fear, i couldnt even move my toes, my nan could see it to, it actually slithered across our bed head...at one stage it was in the corner of our room, i really dont think he knew we were there, he was just going about in his own business, like he had just continued from where he last was...he was pushing these big roman colums into the corner of our room...and everytime one was pushed it hurt like hell my teeth i was screaming...my nan would get up and turn the light on, it faded away..even the walls looked different...she would pray then turn the light back off and get back into bed...soon after he appeared again and went on about his way....the wall at the end of our room opened up and we could see in there...like looking into a cave...we could see black shadows in there...mind you this was all in spirit like..the actual wall didnt open up...cut a long story short he was there with us all night, ....soon as the sun came up my nan grabbed the bucket and took it back to the hole and threw the dirt back into the hole and we never saw it again... that was the most full on experience ive ever had...ive never seen anything like it again....funny i came across someones paranormal story here months ago, and they said how they were staying in an old hotel, something didnt feel right...when the wall opened up in front of them and they could see a ghost in there....i thought wow..i can really relate to that..so its happened to others (the wall)....im going back there in the next couple of years...that night has stayed with me since then, and im just so curious of what it was and why it came out of that dirt....

I used to be a believer. It's the lack of evidence and personal experience that has made me a disbeliever in ghosts. Contrary to the belief of some on here, I do not pretend to know it all. However, I have reasons to believe not all apparently paranormal experiences don't have normal explanations. I do not resent the experiences of believers. However, I do think sometimes simple explanations are often overlooked. It's not strange that someone who perceived a paranormal event is a believer and it's not strange that someone who hasn't isn't a believer. What I find curious is how many believers there are out there who have never had what they perceive to be a paranormal experience. Is this pre-belief not likely to result in the misinterpretation of a strange but normal event as paranormal in nature?

Right, you've got to understand that I'm now an aetheist to get the twist...
I was 4 years old.
Every night I prayed to God for a baby brother or sister.
One night I had a dream that an angel told me I'd have a brother for Xmas.
The next day I told a neighbour.
She congratulated my mum.
My mum was so unsure she was pregnant that she'd not even told my dad.
My brother was born on December the 22nd.
Hi Denie,
I became an aetheist after seeing the state of the world when there's supposedly an all powerful being loving us.
And then when my parents died within 6 weeks of each other, that was the clincher...
Now I think the 'angel' was an ancestor, possibly my grandfather who died 3 months before MY birth.

I had an out of body experience when I was in High School . I think that really got me thinking about things. I don't think I saw what could be called a ghost until about 1986. My now ex-wife and I were given a beveled mirror in a gilt wooden frame. There was an old woman that would appear if we didn't immediately hang the mirror on a wall in whatever place we moved into. Later, the same woman reached out from the mirror, took my hand and pulled me inside. I can only describe what I saw there as another plane of existence. I traveled with her to a nearby lake while on this plane. Many other spirits were there and they were all communicating telepathically. At least I could understand them without hearing spoken words. My body seemed pretty solid at the time and occasionally one of them would walk right through me, making me very cold. I was out there at the lake with them for over an hour. My ex saw me go and said my physical body just stood right there with my hand on the mirror, not moving until it looked like I suddenly woke up and started talking to her. She said I was "gone" for about 20 minutes though I would have sworn I was gone for hours.

Well, my first experiences were more a growing sense of them. At first it was this sense that I was being watched, knowing and feeling that I wasn't alone in the house when physically I was (kids at school, hubby at work, and had been for hours); I'd see something out the corner of my eye, like someone was watching me from around the corner, but when I'd look there was nothing there (my oldest son saw this too, without my having said anything to him). But my first real paranormal experience was a psychic attack by a demon, it lasted a few weeks. Lord that thing still gives me nightmares if I watch the wrong movie. lol

we used to live in a house across the street from a graveyard, not just because of that we thought our house was haunted.
My mom heard something bumping downstairs in the middle of the night, and she went down to see what was there. She would always look around, and in one of the rooms, she could see something glowing, like a faint light coming from the cracks underneath one of the closed doors.
It also used to turn off our heater and turn on the air in the winter, and turn on the heat in the summer. It obviously didn't want us there and bothered the crap out of our family until we eventually had to move.
Thats why i beleive in the paranormal so much.

First thing that I "recognized"..... a poem/song in rhyme came to me in LOUD thoughts very fast....then in a couple of days there were 25.. then....over the next months were 120. Too much for me to deny...and I KNEW it wasn't me. I just know I was extremely depressed and it brought me out of the depression. BUT..I wish I had never told anyone about it.
Lots more things happened...
pao..I don't understand how you became an atheist after that. You prayed to God...He answered..
pao...I have reasons not be believe in God too..or to believe that He is good...or loves me. But I have to believe that it wasn't God who did all these bad things. If God is good and God is Love...then it couldn't have been Him. I do understand how you feel.
333...That's not fair!!!You're supposed to tell us too!!! lol
333...Thanks for sharing! WoW! I hope nothing like that ever happens to me. Don't think I could handle it. So glad your grandmother saw it too...for your sake.I'm sure you would have thought you had gone crazy.(and your grandmother etc. might have thought that too and medicated you) Hope you have only good experiences in the future.

Some happened when I was a baby, my parents witnessed those. But the first one I remember is the Ghost cat that used to walk across the bed that my Mother and I shared when I was tiny. the covers would pull over our legs as the cat stepped over. It didn't frighten us. Being so little, I just thought that sort of things was normal.

When I was young I heard my parents talking about unexplained things happening in their bedroom at night. My father would put his shoes under the bed & three days in a roll he found the shoe laces tied up in lots of knots, he would have to spend a good few minutes to untie each shoe. My mother claimed she heard the rocking chair in their room was rocking by itself while they were asleep....it woke her up during the night. Days later they had found out that a close realative had died. This person lived out of state. I was only about 7 years old. They claimed that the spirit of the woman who had died came to visit them letting them know that she had crossed over.

one time i was at my dad, and nobody was home except for my step mom, and myself. my step mom was outside, and i was going up stairs to my room, when i got to the top of the stares i decided to walk down to the End of the hall to look out the window, when i got there i heard a little girl singing the ABC's i thought that maybe my grandmother had dropped my little sister off without me realizing it, so i thought that i would scare her by turning the corner really fast, and saying gotcha, but when i did that it stopped, and nobody was there. i was kinda scared, but more baffled, so i went outside to talk to my step mom, and she said that my little sister was still with my grandmother, and that we were still home alone, and she just brushed it off like nothing happened. later that night i told my dad what happened, and he said that he always heard that little girl singing when he was home alone, and sometimes he heard he calling for her mom, but nobody in the house seemed to hear it. lots more things have happened in that house, and it still freaks me out to this day!!!
