my other half was really worried about the whole thing, i thought he was being really unsupportive and it really upset me, when i got to about 16 weeks i confronted him about the situation and asked why he didnt seem pleased, he was really apologetic and said it wasnt that he wasnt excited he was just scared until she was safe he didnt want to jinx the situation, he also said he couldnt stand the thought of me being in any pain or suffering at all, so he was trying to block it out of his mind to make him not feel so helpless. he was right their with me at the birth supporting me and has been a wonderful dad, cant imagine what i would do without him, funny thing is all his worries are out the way and he wants to try again now x x good luck with your pregnancy, and congrats xx

yes, especially after we found out it's a boy. the only thing different between us was ive been extremely excited the whole time and have actually been obsessed not doing or thinking of anything the past 9 months not baby related. he just these last 4 weeks or so got to where he is more excited and talks about it all the time like i have done. its like it wasnt real to him until the end. im due nov 1.

Outwardly during the pregnancy, no, but when the babies came he was so cute and tender. It was beautiful. He cried when both of them were delivered but weirdly enough the whole pregnant belly thing weirded him out. He hated feeling the baby move and actually got nauseas when he did. He wasn't into the whole name choosing and nursery decorating thing but enjoyed the ante-natal classes.

At the end of the day I didn't mind though, as long as he was there when the 'fun' really started!

I think that he was more excited than I was when I told him we were having a baby, now we both just can't wait to hold our little boy. If I lay real still he can feel our little man kick so that has upped his enthusiasm level by about ten.

My husband was in a total state of shock. I dont think he believed it at first, we waited 13 years for it to happen and I dont think we thought it ever would. As time has gone on he has cried at the thought of holding his new son. Its a very emotional time for us both. Only 4 more weeks!

I woke up my husband at 11pm with my yelling, he was at his sister for a few days, taking care of his mom..."I was like: by the way I'm pregnant"...his reply: "So what do you want to do"?....my answer: "you should go and f*ck yourself a**hole: I hanged the phone...
Next morning he was early with flowers at home...his explanation: "I've never been a father...I'm shocked, I didn't know what to say"....I told him: "that's the best thing you have said since yesterday".....now he drives me crazy, touching the belly...kissing it....guess everyone doesn't react the same...it is indeed a huge change in your life.

Hey. When i got pregnant and we had it confirmed by the doctor my partner was soooo shocked it was unreal! But after the initial shock he was excited but defanitly not as much as me! I remember looking through my baby books every day and showing him pics and bits on information and he never really seemed that intrested but when i miscarried he was absoloutly gutted and i realised as much as he didnt show it he was infact just as excited as me!

Men just dont seem to show there emotions as much as us women!

Congrats to you!!!! x

Well to make a long story short,

I'm so very happy about this pregnancy. And I'm also now going to be a single mum. So that shows how happy he was about the pregnancy.

Oh the best thing about it though, He doesn't even see that leaving me was wrong. He says he was just trying to make himself happy.

hahahahaha (welll as long as he's happy, that's all that matters....NOT!!!) lol
