sign of period or pregnancy?

Does anyone know if an increase in cervical mucus a week prior to your period is normal or could be a sign of pregnancy? does this indicate pregnancy or the onset of your period?

I'm wondering the same thing because I have got more CM and could possibly be pregnant. I'm due for period in 2 days but no signs yet just tender boobs.....will know in a few days and then I can get back to you!!
