if i take a mediclaim policy, can i claim maternity surgery charges spent before 1 month in this policy?

i'm an employee of a prvt comp, after my wife's delivery to a baby i came to know there was not a mediclaim alloted by my company by mistaken , nw i want to avail that claim thru mediclaim policy, if my company offers me that policy now, can i claim that charges i spent for the surgery before 1 month from the date of policy taken.

No you can not since there was no contract between you and the co. at the time of delivery.
