If you will say "sorry" to someone else, be sincere to what your saying, show it that its not your intention to do something wrong to him/her that make them upset. It should be comes from the heart not from the mouth.
Apology or sorry is a magic word that can melt a broken heart.

Hmm,
There's lots of levels of sorry.
There's 'Sorry I spilled your coffee', all the way to 'Sorry I killed your only child while drunk behind the wheel'.
A simple I'm sorry will do for the first, but I doubt the latter.
Could you be more specific?

Look at the other person in the eye. Then just say how sorry you are very very sincerely.
You're sincerity in apologising will be felt.

well, action speaks louder than words.
dont just say you're sorry. you have to show that you're sorry as well.

"I'm sorry" - with a hug (but you have to mean it!)
Followed up with a bunch of flowers the next day.
