what is the best brand of blank dvd's? as in the most reliable and wont give me errors when i burn something to them.

Its a combination of drive model and make/type of discs you are using.

In our office we have mostly LG/LiteOn drives and we have always used discs with G5 dye without any problems, but if we were to give customers some of these, a few will report errors during write.

Best to do try a few of each brand and pick the ones that works best for your drive

Maxell or pioneer are the best one but it also depends on the settings of your burning software because sometime its not the DVD that lets you down its the software that drop the session and stop during the recording process.

If your burning process fails in the middle, try to increase virtual memory of your system and also when the burning process starts then goto task manager and under the process tab, right click your burning software's process and set the proprity to the HIGH or Real Time and it will really help to do the succesful burning.

The best storage media(blank cds and dvds) generally comes from Japan and Singapore.Apple is a great brand(mxl).MCC too is good.and pvs from,i think pioneer also equally good.

I use IMATION and SONY, I never encounter any errors here.
