Yes. Fireworks are made with gunpowder. The earliest known incendiary bombs (dating back to eleventh century China) were made with gunpowder.
Your reference to Guy Fawkes is interesting because he was a terrorist who tried to blow up the Houses of Parliament in London by filling the cellars with gunpowder. His plot is commonly known as The Gunpowder Plot. Hence, there is a correlation between the material he used and a firework's crucial ingredient.
Your local firework dealer might get suspicious if you try to purchase them in sufficiently large quantities to be making an effective bomb. (^_~)
Of course, Guy didn't have that problem. =D

Yes - I dont think the general public should be trusted with fireworks any longer - every year there are horror stories about some kid going up or having a rocket thrown at them.
Its not worth the hassle any more.

Absolutely - loads of gunpowder- packed into metal container surrounded by petrol - kerpow - it's called a car bomb - idiots in Liverpool did it last year !
Silly old woman - we don't celebrate the Gunpowder plot - we celebrate the execution of the terrorist that did it - he was hung, drawn and quartered - nice . We burn Guy Fawkes' effigy on top of the bonfire don't we?

The answer is yes but he would need alot of fireworks.
Now to the daft old woman, the reason we celebrate a terrorist is because of the church, because they wanted to get rid of the pagan festival of samhain which was also known as the fire festival which is on 31st oct, so guys story was used to cover up the roots of the pagan festival.

Why would anyone want to buy gunpowder for explosives?
Have you seen the cost of fireworks this year?..ridiculous!
Any potential terrorist would find it more cost effective going to B&Q to get their supplies.
All you need to make a big bang is fuel+oxygen+ignition source+confined space...the trick is to make the fuel burn and produce gas rapidly
Theres lots more efficient ways of doing this cheaper than gunpowder.

In Pennsylvania, fireworks are bought in each single place! the shopper might desire to be 18 years old, yet teenagers get them each of a similar. the massive fireworks are basically bought to those that've a pyrotechnics's license. I initially got here from NJ the place fireworks are unlawful, so this grow to be all custom ask your self to me. I had as quickly as seen a baby who had basically 2 palms left on his appropriate hand because of the fact of a firecracker. i don't - and could not - enable my baby to play with them. fairly adequate, there is way less fireworks taking photos in each single place on the 4th of July in PA than there grow to be in NJ. the individuals out here additionally notably plenty quit taking photos off their firecrackers around 9:00 and could extremely watch the massive fireworks reflects in Honesdale or by capability of Lake Wallenpaupack. i think maximum folk can cope with it themselves and not utilising a superb variety of rules imposed on them.

Yes... as u can use some bearings with some explosive and nitrate and it will be a good one i bet...............and u can also use glass pieces also. a 2 kg bomb can easily destroy a car or two and can potentially kill or atleast injure seriously in a radius of 20 meters...........
