This questionnaire is ideally for pet owners. i have to make a product in school which includes lighting, therefore i am making a pet collar which has lights. =) this idea should help identify where you pet is in the dark [e.g. around your house at night or if your cat was out at night, by drivers]

6. When you first bought your pet, was it still young or fully grown? I got her free from the vet clinic I worked at when she was 3 wks old (dumped puppy)

7. Does you pet have a collar? Yes

8. Approx. what thickness collars do you buy for your pet? About 1 inch, but she also wear's a harness when we go walking

9. What colour is appealing or attractive to you for a pet Collar? Black or red

10. What material do you prefer? a good nylon

11. What is the minimum you would spend on a collar?
Cheap = fine by me, lol...no minimum!

12. What is the maximum you would spend on a collar?
It depeds on the collar...maybe $15-$20 if i knew it would last a LONG time

13. Would you find a light that would help you identify where your pet is useful? Not particularly, though it would be a nice safety feature for low-light walks

14. Would there be anything you would want added to the collar? [e.g.identification & medical tags] I think it would be a good idea to make it a harness/lead combo, honestly, as opposed to just a collar.

I havent answered the questions as I dont see how they would help you invent a collar,

But reading your question , I would have thought your idea maybe not as good as you first thought, because we can alrwady purchase reflective collars for our pets to wear so they can be seen in the dark, so adding a light to a collar would problay just be a pain and more hasle then it is actually worth
