Oh yes. Once I went into my work room because I needed a a hairbrush i had left there. I went to the room walked around several times without thinking one single thought in my head. then i opened my mini fridge, opened a klarbrun soda and then returned to my room. only then did i realize what i needed!
lol thanx for your funny question ;-)

yes.

daily.

I have developed a few methods for dealing with this.

First, I wave my hands towards my face as if I was trying to smell the air in the room and pick up on the wind, as it were, the thought that caused me to enter.

As I do this, I start to walk backwards, which sometimes helps me stumble across the thought that I was thinking on the way into the room.

Finally, I ask some questions about what I normally do in the room and whether I would like to do any of those things at that particular time.

I'm a pretty simple guy so I usually have no problem figuring out what I need. Makes memory a luxury, not a necessity.

All the time. Not only rooms, but grocery stores, department stores, everywhere. I now write a note saying what I am going after and what I have to do for the day.
Otherwise I'd forget half before I started. I'm also 47 and have noticed that sometimes I forget more than I used to.
Yep, I just play it off when I do it and act like I know what I'm doing.
No one knows but you unless you tell it!!!

This happens to me all the time. Then, I go to sit down and watch TV or do something else and EUREKA, I remember what I went in that room to retrieve. It's frustrating and annoying. I have recently begun to feel old. LOL!

Often and yes I do hate it. I'm surprised I haven't worn a hole in the carpet the number of times I go upstairs for something and come down usually with something else entirely.

U-hum! That's true indeed. As a matter of fact, I had to walk all the way to where I came from just to remember what I went into the other room for!

Too often! It's even more frustrating when you tried retracing your steps and still couldn't remember why you went there in the first place. Hope it doesn't develop into Alzheimer's when Im old already.

Happens to me like two or three times a week. Usually if I go back to the place I started from I can remember why I got up to begin with, lol.

Yes... and I am chocking it up to dangling at the edge of 40.... but good things come of it, I usually find what I was looking for the last time I walked in and forgot why
