5 days overdue?

Question

can anyone help me please, my baby was due on 24th october, and there are still no signs of him/her arriving. ive had a membrane sweep on 25th and im due to be induced on sat 3rd nov if not arrived before, my periods are very regular (28days) so why do some babies arrive before and some arrive late. is there anything wrong with my baby as im 5 days overdue now? thanks please help.

if my period was 17th jan i only had sex twice with partner, (26th jan and 6th feb) so would my due date not be later if i got pregnant in feb. i dont no how accurate ultrasounds are. i thoough it would have arrived by now because i thought id ov got pregnant in jan as 6th feb is 3 weeks after my period and i wouldnt ovulate then.

There is nothing wrong with you or your baby. Some just take a little longer than others especially if this is your first. First time babies, for the most part, take longer to arrive than the rest. At least you have an end insight. Try to relax, your baby will be here soon. Good Luck!!

my first baby was a week late, and i remember the midwife saying to me that some studies suggest that the late or early baby's are because of the date you actually conceived, i don't know how true this is tho. your due date is just a guess on when abouts the baby is due and baby can come anytime 2 weeks either side (sometimes earlier) i was given my induction date and went into labor the day before. i guess you are a good home and nice and comfortable, baby doesn't want to leave. it will all be worth the wait in the end!

Well...
I would say sit, relax, drink a nice cup of tea (you can drink Raspberry leaf tea to get contax started...as will taking walks)
Anyway... don't rush it. This just means your baby needs more time. You will be living off your baby's schedule from now, until... well... I don't think it stops! LOL
Induction is a scary thing. I was induced with my son. They aren't kidding when they say most inductions end up in C-section. I had 40 hours of labor only to end up in C-section. Nice :D
I don't think there's anything wrong. 5 days isn't terribly overdue. My Aunt went 16 days over. I promise you though, your baby will make it out to this world, even if these last few days of pregnancy seem to be d-r-a-g-g-i-n-g!!!

Remember that the due date your doctor gave you was only an estimated due date....EDD. I am also sure that you have heard that you can go anywhere from 2 weeks early to 2 weeks ''late'', after that date. I am willing to bet that your due date was miscalculated! Less than a week to go! Maybe your baby will come before the 3rd! Good luck!
