Has anyone seen this movie? What was the year that it is supposed to be set in? THe setting looks like the 70's or 80's, but the father has a cell phone, and they are drinking sprite zero?

i know that it was MADE in 2006, but it looks like the movie took place in the 80's with the house, the table in the kitchen, Olive's glasses. . . .

This movie, with some alterations, could've been set in almost any 20th century decade (even before, had they ridden a train or in a horse carriage or on a ship). The time is irrelevant. It's the family being thrown together with all their dysfunction and coming together that is the heart of the story.

It's set in present times. But I recall the house had an old feel to it as well as the old broken down VW, suggesting they didn't have money to stay fashionable and current.
