would you go for the zaffa, belly dancer, or is that baladi and too ancient ? would you wear a tar7a, would you like your bride to wear a tar7a ? how would you like to celebrate your wedding, or for those who have already experienced marriage, how was it ?

he'll like that, esp if it contains chocolate, which is bad for him, good morning to you, and all, my sister just got married, there was no zaffa, she wore a wedding dress without tar7a, and it was mainly music and dancing, i didn't have a traditional zaffa, but one with esmohom eh dol, there were guys holding 7aga akherha nar, ya3ni zaffa bas modern, there was no etmakhtari ya 7elwa, i wouldn't have minded, my husband rufused to sit in the kosha during our engagement party and fel wedding there was none, i was such a kid, during our engagement they played c'est la dance des canards, to which he refused to dance, so as a punishment i made him sit in the kosha, i'm glad today we didn't dance to it, would have been so stupid...my dad was in baghdad, but all my uncles attended and later sent him letters saying your daughter was a disgrace, she danced all night, i had to do some montage on the tape we sent him, cut a lot of it as he wrote me a very long letter of tawbeekh

yes we are, salah my son, on a trip to rashid, as we walked through the city was aking what tarzi means, he had no idea what the khayal el ma'ata was or menasha, he would much prefer to eat a beefburger sandwich and fries over kabab w kofta

i'd like to have tar7a just one layer and medium in length.
About zaffa i like both the belly dancer and the one with violins (so romantic).

I had my wedding ceremony a while a go alhamdulellah.
A zaffa is a must, not an option. Or how would you get in to the wedding hall, just like that saying "Salamu 3alaykom ya shabab, ana geet"??!!!
The belly dancer era is gone now you have at least 10 or 20 young girls part of the guests doing it for free.
A very good DJ is the best he will spark the party better than 3 or 4 singers alltogether
Food is also a must those days, Rice, grilled, Fried, salads and sweets, fruits.
Soft drinks, I hate "Sharbat" although part of the culture but it tastes like coughing syrup !
it is also good to finish early 2:00 AM is good enough. 5:00 AM I was dying.
My Brother had an Islamic wedding in the mosque and I liked it. very respected.

If I get married , it will be in the morning, in a jeans , ,, I attended lots of marriages (as i was a drummer when I was young) and all I saw, was eating, and lots of criticism , for how the pride and the groom looked like,,,,,,,,,and I am also
greedy by nature, ( I will not forget a good meal for kookie),,,good morning
edit:Ya sahar: when was your last time to write with your hand writing a personal letter and mail it to a friend? Now we do internet, fax, international calls and couriers ,,,(kal wakt welah adan)
edit 2) you see we are losing our 'beautiful style ' by time..
edit 3) Ana Ya khti young , what is khyal al maata? menashah?Tarzi? Kabab we Koftah ,al 7aty .Aly hussan, Nagaf??? yaaaayyy,, what are those....lol,,

In Egypt , muslims have to do something called " katb el ketab " that's the religious part before the wedding party when they legally get married , then they have the wedding .. In the weddings they have a DJ that plays music and songs , the bride and the groom both invite their family , relatives and friends and they all have fun . I don't know if Christians here get married in church then have a party or the wedding is only in the church .

Basicly you sign a contract with the Imam present, then you pray and go to a party where men and women mix dressed in suits and dresses. There is music and a belly dancer who is usualy also a stripper, if you pay her extra. Then everyone drinks beer and whiskey and goes home and someone takes the lovely belly dancer home too

i prefer to have kitab at home with the close family members present.
i dont like the tar-ha , zaffa, bely dancer, etc.
i prefer to go away for a week or so to a nice place.
it can be in marina, or on a trip to the far east which is very inviting .
simplicity is the best .
