I'm expecting my first baby any day now. Through the pregnancy Ive been getting little drops of milk out of my breasts, but I haven't rely gotten the 'mommy boobs' yet.

For some reason tonight its like a steady drip. I cant understand it, could it be something I did? I didn't take my shower any hotter, and I am wearing my favorite night shirt, I didn't use soap on them or do anything out of the ordinary...

I put pressure on it, put on a snug sports bra, I tried taking everything off them and not touching them, nothing is helping it. Its just a few drops at a time but its steady, and its hasn't gone away in about an hour.

Is this normal? When does it normally happen?

This happened to me too towards the end of my pregnancy... I just put some disposable nursing pads in my bra and I was good to go, although I must add that they itched like crazy and when I was home, I just wore a padded bra to give my breasts a break. After I had my baby, I had to start wearing them constantly though because leakage occurs, even when my breasts are 'empty'.

My breasts got bigger in the beginning of the pregnancy and then stopped. I had my son 7 weeks ago today, and in the first two weeks after giving birth, they almost doubled in size (went from a C to a D to a EE)!! So wait until you've had your baby to see a real difference in size - of course this doesn't happen to all women, but if you're going to breastfeed there's a good chance they'll increase in size.

Congratulations and you'll be holding your baby soon!

it's within the realms of normal... there are so many variations on when milk arrives, etc, that it's hard to say. At this point, it's likely that it's colostrum (sorry about the spelling) which is the nutrient that arrives before the milk.

What you describe is not uncommon, is not harmful... just put in some breast pads (the ones that catch leakage) and get ready for a new baby!

Usually your boobs will get a little larger in the first 3 months, and then not again until a few days after your birth, when your milk comes in. After a couple of weeks, when your feeding pattern settles in, the excess doesn't happen.

Just a heads up though... when you're feeding on one side, the other side may go off in sympathy! I used to turn into a sprinkler when I was feeding!

I had to wear nursing pads for the last 2 month of my pregnancy with the last one to stop them from leaking all over my top when shopping and doing every day things slightest touch of my breasts would make them leak. get some nursing pads and start using them now, wont be much longer before you hold your baby in your arms now, Good Luck and congratulations!

This is completely normal. Your body is getting ready for your beautiful baby to make his debut. Try nursing pads, they will soak up the milk until your baby comes and is ready to nurse. Congragualtions!

you're fortunate, mine began leaking around 17 weeks. that's colostrum, you are able to have that until eventually your milk furnish is obtainable in some days after giving beginning. you will possibly desire to purchase particular pads to put in your bra so it doesnt soak your shirt. stable success!
