Can you give me the reason why?

Yes it's true.

A) They want to confirm it.

B) They are curious at how many know the question.

C) They're extremely bored.

Of course people ask questions they know the answer to. There are many reasons for this...one good reason is that they want different perspectives on the questions....and another would be that they are just bored and want something to do

Maybe that is true.

But here in Yahoo! Answers, I think most people ask because they really want to find out the answers to their questions.

Beside asking a question makes you lose points but answering give you more. I'll go for answering questions I know rather than asking something I know the answers for it.

Of course! You just did, didn't u? Some people are full of self-doubt and seeking approval from others. Other people probably just like using this forum as a sounding board.

you're correct deborah. it's for validation of their thoughts and feelings. many people just want to know that others are on the same page so if they make a comment or say something they don't look bad/stupid etc.. it's that simple
