Get a new laptop.

The GMA 950 is just a slow graphics chip, it's more than fast enough for 2D use (business applications and other crap like that) but it will not cut it for pretty much any recent games (or even some older games). You also can't upgrade it and there aren't really any tweaks to make it go faster (increasing the amount of RAM it steals won't help you either).

The GMA 950 is basically for office applications and. as far as gaming goes its 3D stinks and even an Nvidia 6200 will waste it. You're not going to be able to tweak it any futher than putting the latest drivers in. If you just bought it take it back and get a laptop with a better graphics accelerator.

If you are specifically referring to video performance, GMA 950 is inherently weak and ONLY has MPEG-2 Motion Compensation but no VC-1 and iDCT.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 chipset uses your laptop's main memory as a video memory. you can increase the size of video memory from your BIOS settings which you can increase up to 224MB at max. this might work.
