I get the idea that people in other countries want to come to America because they think it is better here than where they are.
That is true of some Americans too, they want to go somewhere else to find a better life.
There is an old saying "the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence"
But that is not always true, once you get to the other place and look back, it may actually be just as green over there where you came from.
Most of the people I know don't have all those fancy high paying jobs because they can't afford to go to college. Those colleges that you get those degrees in cost $30,000 a year and that is cheap, some are $80,000.
The blue collar workers sometimes make more money than the colleged educated.

I cannot answer this question but I am amazed at how rude and crude some of these people are. It makes me wonder what their education level is. Perhaps they want to come to America to get a job so they can send money home to help their families there. My daughter in law is Laos and her family works very hard here they all have two jobs and they help each other buy a house and a car for each family member and then they bought their own business and now they are sending money home. They are a very close and wonderful family, working hard here in the United States. They have all become citizens, however one aunt does want to go back she misses her family that is still there and you cannot blame her for that

more opportunities in america..
isn't that why all the immigrants are coming here?
Europe,Africa, Middle East, Asia..
most of them seem to end up here.
Trust me i've been around the world and no other country offers this much promise ..
ive lived in czech which was pretty poor, then i moved to poland and moved back where i was born and there was absolutely no jobs available that paid no more then minmum wage(5 d/h) then i finally moved to russia to visit family and i stayed there for 5 months. Job opportunities, but no promises. If a better employee comes along or if somthing goes wrong in the industry you'll be fired. In america you can't just get fired for no reson it's illegal.

Indian youth is blindly aping the old myth which glorifies the foreign returned tag on someone's forehead. now India has everything and can match the world in any field. so the myth is breaking slowly.

aside from the working and career OPPORTUNITIES, AMERICAN and U.K. POP-CULTURES have been dominating the world for the past decades... and so naturally, people are drawn to america because of the greener pastures, milk and honey... and to experience the ruling k-pop culture...
however, asian k-pop cultures are starting to soar... as for me, im not drawn to go to the west.. i prefer to go somewhere having a similar culture with ours like china or japan.
