If parents are still gainfully employed or self-employed or retired and receiving monthly pensions...I guess, they wont depend on their children for support.
But if not, children should support them...children should give their parents a means of livelihood...anything legal that would give them financial help as they go on with their lives.
Most of all, please understand and love them...to show your appreciation and gratification.

A. Yes. If a parent is able bodied and fit for work then they should do so, rather than relying on the children for support. However if those children are working, and still living at home, then there is no reason that they shouldn't contribute to the household expenses, according to their means. After all there's no where else that they could live for free, is there?
The situation is of course different if the parents are elderly.

hey, iam strongly agreed with your statment . my answer for your question is A. it means parent should dont be depend on thier children for their livelihood by any means because no body can predict future. this is truth that people as parent are ready to spend every peny for their children and it is not necessary that every child would be success enough to support their parents. considering that factors one must save some suffeicent amount in order to pass thier oldage journey. as looking at the current scenario is being very difficult to rely on the futuer's prospect of children.

Mostly A ,but it depends on whether or not parents are able to work. If parents are elderly or disabled, I think that children do have some responsibility to care for their parents not because parents have given them things, as those things were given in order to promote the success and wellbeing of the child they chose to have, but because of familial ties. Of course, the government and tax payers also have responsibilities to people who are earning a low income or are unable to work.

A. Yes.

Present days parents spend all their earnings on family and children and by the time they retire, there won't be enough money left.

Yes, parents should be independent even when they're older. They shld give their children freedom for their lives. Of course, children shld in return of their love n kindness visit their parents often with gifts n money (if possible). My in-laws are staying by themselves n they dont bother us or bug us for attention. I truly respect them for that.

B-No. Unless they are ill and need the help of the children (grown in this scenario) in which case the kids would and should want to help the people who gave them life.
